SCAIME presents the eNod4, its new generation of weighing controllers integrating fieldbus and Ethernet connectivity.
The eNod4 is a high-performance weighing module which has been specially developed for simple and rapid integration into any automated system.
The eNod4 provides connectivity with the main PLCs on the market, offering an interface for Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP, CANopen, PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET or Ethernet/IP. To meet developers’ needs in terms of flexibility, all parameters and functions are accessible by the PLC communication bus.
As an optional extra, the eNod4 can be combined with an eNodTouch touchscreen. This MMI can display weight, weighing system calibration, and full configuration of the eNod4. The eNodTouch connects via a dedicated eNod4 port and operates in parallel with the PLC connection.
SCAIME has designed the eNod4 for the most demanding weighing applications in terms of precision and speed, particularly weighing integrated into dosing and packaging systems. The eNod4 therefore offers resolution of up to 500,000 divisions, frequency of up to 1600 measurements/sec and a set of configurable digital filters to eliminate disturbance.
For its implementation, the eNod4 also includes a USB port for configuration using the eNodView PC software.
