MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

Mechanical manufacturing processes

EPSIMETAL sensor suits particularly stress and force measurement on machine frames:
    • easy installation
    • fast dynamical response
    • field-tested in industrial environment
    • high sensitivity for the measurement of very low strains
    • overload tolerance
    • signal stability

It is therefore the ideal tool for the monitoring of machines working under high frequency loading cycles:
    • rolling mills
    • stamping or forging presses, punching presses
    • assembly presses
    • welding guns, riveting machines...

  FORCE MEASUREMENT ON ROLL STAND

© ArcelorRoll stand are generally very robustly designed, in order to ensure the geometrical tolerances of the sheet. The high sensitivity of EPSIMETAL sensor allows measurement of very low strains on these big frames.

Rolling load can be therefore very easily monitored, as well as roll eccentricity, which often induces a frame elongation lower than 0.05 µm/m.
