SCAIME has developed a full range of optical fiber strain gauges dedicated to complex structures monitoring.
Based on Bragg grating technology, ouor strain gauges opening new horizons for measurement:
- High resistance to cyclic fatigue
- Perfect load transfer between the structure and the sensor.
- Up to 15 sensors can be added onto a single optical fiber line minimizing the number of cables and improving the reliability.
- Optical line lenght up to 40 km
- Immune to electromagnetic interference.
- Intrinsically non explosive
- No corrosion
